Description
The 2025 Coca-Cola Beverages Florida ("Coke Florida") Internship Program is an 11-week program (beginning May 12th and ending July 25th), and is open to current law students. The Legal Summer Internship offers law students the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience working alongside seasoned attorneys in a dynamic legal environment. Throughout the program, interns will develop a deeper understanding of the intersection between law and business operations while strengthening essential legal skills such as analytical writing, issue spotting, and professional communication. The program also provides opportunities for mentorship, networking, and exposure to a variety of practice areas within the organization.For Summer 2025, Coke Florida is seeking interns within the following focus area: Legal In-House Counsel
Most internships will work in a hybrid work environment (4 days in office) out of our Tampa, Florida office. There will be a combination of remote work and in-office work for the duration of the Summer Internship Program.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of contracts, notices, legal holds and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of topics, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and employment law.
- Draft memos, summaries, and correspondence to support ongoing legal projects.
- Support the review and implementation of certain corporate policies, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and provide legal insights where appropriate.
- Assist in responding to inquiries and requests for legal advice from various departments and external parties.
- Help maintain and update the department's document management system.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations and within the beverage industry in general.
- Attend and observe meditations, depositions, and litigation proceedings.
- Attend company hosted intern events throughout the program
- Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area.
- Interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value.
Role Requirements
- Current enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L preferred).
- Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0 GPA (First-year law students are encouraged to apply after receiving their first-semester grades.)
- Strong academic record with coursework in corporate or business law preferred.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer application skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
