JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of an Allied Yard Operative is to pull orders, fabricate and/or assemble racking and other Allied materials used to fulfill orders and stock, receive shipments, restock materials, load, and unload deliveries, keep track of inventory, replenish and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Allied Yard. An Allied Yard Operative must be forklift certified by O.S.H.A. and follow all company safety and security processes and procedures. The ideal candidate would have prior warehouse and forklift experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pull and stage orders for delivery and/or customer will call.
• Fabricate and/or assemble Allied materials for order fulfillment or stock inventory.
• Organizes and restocks products in the warehouse/yard.
• Takes physical inventory of all supplies as well as periodic cycle counts
• Inspects all goods being shipped and received, reporting any defective or damaged items.
• Responsible for following company safety rules as well as maintaining job site safety.
• Load and unload all inbound and outbound deliveries and customer orders.

• Must be age 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Read, write, and converse in English.
• Must be able to carry out both written and oral instructions.
• Required to follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures on forklift to ensure proper techniques, such as lifting are performed in the manner as described.
• Workday is a standard 8 hours and is spent in a warehouse setting.
• The position involves a moderate amount of physical activity, and periods of standing, walking
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs., stoop, squatting, sitting, etc.
• Temperatures in the warehouse/yard (outside temps and weather conditions) are variable, with dramatic increases or decreases in response to the seasons.

The physical demands and working conditions requirement indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions.

Physical Demands:

Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computers and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.

Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
