Description
The Analytical Capabilities Leader is a senior, strategic role responsible for directing the design and overseeing the creation of customer-facing analytics for our small and middle-market customers. This leader will serve as the subject matter expert on our customers' analytical needs, leveraging a deep understanding of their industry, how they use our products, and what data-driven tools they require to make critical business decisions.This individual will blend a strong data science background with customer understanding to envision and build solutions. A key focus for this leader will be to drive the scalability of these analytics through reusable, highly automated tools and processes, including low-code/no-code platforms, enabling delivery to our customers at scale. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with Product and Technology teams to ensure analytical solutions are effectively deployed within our existing platforms and deliver tangible value to our customers.
What you'll do
- Analytical Strategy & Design: Lead the definition of the analytical strategy for the small and middle-market customer segment, identifying key opportunities to drive value and competitive advantage.
- Customer-Facing Solutions: Direct the work design and oversee the creation of scalable, reusable, and automated customer-facing analytical tools and solutions.
- Solution Development: Design and implement highly automated processes and leverage low-code/no-code tools to scale the delivery of analytics to midsized customers. Translate deep industry and customer understanding into practical, deployable, and scalable solutions, with a focus on automation and reusability.
- Customer & Industry SME: Serve as the internal and external Subject Matter Expert on customer analytical needs, data structures, market trends, and the client environment.
- Cross-Functional Deployment: Partner with Product and Technology leaders to integrate and deploy analytical solutions within our existing technology platforms, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Align with key business stakeholders to drive the strategic roadmap for customer analytics and influence overall business strategy.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment and building consulting and data science capabilities.
What experience you need
- Industry Knowledge & Commercial Acumen: Expert knowledge of customer-facing solutions, market segments, and market data trends. Ability to identify commercial opportunities and align analytical solutions with business objectives.
- Business Partnership & Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, using active listening to understand desired outcomes and design effective solutions.
- Data Science & Decision Modeling: Strong background in data science, able to guide teams in architecting and productizing advanced statistical concepts, algorithms, and models into scalable, automated tools.
- Statistical Programming: Proficiency in overseeing a team developing efficient, reusable code in languages such as Python and SQL.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to foster a collaborative team environment, provide thought leadership, and coach others to develop their skills.
- Storytelling with Data: Ability to consult with users on data and explain complex technical solutions in a clear, understandable way that supports business metrics.
- Artificial Intelligence: Develop the strategic vision to integrate AI strategies seamlessly with business goals.
Experience & Qualifications
- BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of management or team leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building scalable, automated, customer-facing analytical solutions or products.
- Deep experience in statistical programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Technology)
What could set you apart
- Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) or equivalent experience is preferred.
