The first 3 letters in workplace safety are Y-O-U!TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Area Vice President in the Southwest Area.
Responsible for driving the success of the Southwest Area by strategically aligning sales and executing operations performance with an emphasis on differentiated customer service and service growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Drives and supports a culture of safety throughout the Southwest Area. Includes partnering with H&S to continuously improve safety performance, acting as the face of safety to all employees; and strategically leading programs involving safety to ensure successful execution.
- Partners with HR to build a culture that attracts and retains top talent to maximize human capital and diversity creating a leading employee experience in the market.
- Leads Southwest Area team with an emphasis on empowerment and growth of the service business through all lines of business: new installation, modernization, repair and sales operations. Includes nurturing an organizational culture that challenges others to generate breakthrough ideas and take well-reasoned risks.
- Ensures Southwest Area operations run efficiently and cost effectively. Includes monitoring staff performance and morale, overseeing office/jobsite environment and addressing performance issues when necessary.
- Strategically reviews P&L and other financial reports to monitor branch performance within the Southwest Area to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met or exceeded. Develops, reviews, and approves the operating plans and budgets submitted by direct reports.
- Implements organizational standard operational processes with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement of service revenue growth. Includes working with Southwest Area management to ensure a level of customer service that is differentiated from the competition; and developing a unified approach to serving external and internal customers and communicating a consistent message and brand.
- Supports the execution of initiatives within the Southwest Area and branches. Includes interfacing with Regional and corporate departments, including the factory, coordination, leasing, legal, HR, and finance.
- Supports effective business development activities such as market assessments and positioning, customer management and feedback and performance assessment. Includes working with Southwest region management to maintain and enhance strong working relationships with customers, elevator consultants, building owners and managers, construction firms and architects.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume, market penetration, volume of outstanding bids, available new business, special projects, and staffing requirements and availability.
- Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Includes maintaining a strong understanding of TK Elevator, and its regional and company mission and objectives, ethical standards, and code of conduct.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements.
- Works with HR to ensure that managers use performance management techniques to evaluate employee performance. Includes verifying that promotions and merit increases are based on performance.
- Actively involved in the recruiting efforts for employees within the Region, as well as working closely with HR in the development of employees.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, master's in business administration, or related field a plus.
- 5 to 10+ years of general or upper-level management and experience in the elevator industry.
- Proven success managing and developing talent within the workforce.
- Must be very well organized, have a high energy level, strong work ethic, acute attention to detail and be very process oriented.
- Ability to read and interpret complex business theories, professional journals, technical procedures, and government.
- Ability to identify, own, understand, supervise and delegate to ensure accurate completion under strict timelines with minimal guidance; ability to react well under pressure and willing to accept responsibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to address business challenges and provide solutions.
- Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and collaborate with employees and customers within and outside the regional office.
Salary range: $190,000-$250,000. The role offers a car allowance, fuel card, and annual incentive program.
