Pay Range: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour depending on experience

New York City pistol permit required

Shift: 10am to 7pm

Job Description :

As an Armed Security Walker, you work with your team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of valuables.

Responsibilities

• Servicing customer locations with pick up and deliveries of valuable packages
• Carry multiple bags / boxes of valuable shipments by hand or with hand truck.
• Count items, record, and sign for valuable cargo items
• Protect crew and cargo
• Loading and unloading of armored vehicles and /or manually sorting parcels, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and organizing valuable parcels in a safe and efficient manner
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid New York City firearms permit is preferred, or ability to pass applicable firearms requirements and obtain New York City firearms permit is required **Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing and permitting.
• Ability to lift / handle parcels up to 50 lbs

Other Preferred Qualifications

• Maintaining Security awareness at all times
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in accordance to company standards while maintaining proper conduct, appearance, uniform and personal hygiene

Working Conditions

• Full-time schedule potentially consisting of an average 40 to 50 hours/week, with minimum of 4 days during a 7-day period. Occasional weekend work
• Approximately90-95 percent of work performed by walking in/out customer's business locations
