What You Will Do
- Supervise, manage, develop, and provide strategic direction for the Fraternity and Sorority Life program, including advising, organizing, monitoring, and assessing 21 (inter)national fraternities and sororities and four governing councils totaling over 600 students.
- Serve as the official University advisor to two governing councils by attending weekly meetings and providing guidance on governance, while actively supporting and supervising the advisors of the remaining two councils.
- Plan, execute, and assess programs such as Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment, IFC Fraternity Recruitment, NPHC/UGC Membership Intake programs, Chapter Coaching and Leadership Training, and Educational Programming.
- Oversee community risk management and prevention education initiatives, including Anti-Hazing efforts.
- Supervise a Program Coordinator supporting fraternity and sorority life engagement.
- Support the department's mission, vision, and goals through additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Master's degree in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education, counseling, or other related field is required.
- One-year full-time experience working in Student Affairs required.
- Membership in a (inter)national fraternity or sorority is required.
- Extensive and progressive experience and knowledge of fraternity and sorority life is preferred.
Additionally, the minimum qualifications that are critical for success in this position include excellent oral and written communication skills; advising, counseling, listening, problem solving, crisis prevention/management, critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of University policies, AFA Core Competencies, state law, and trends in higher education, fraternity and sorority industry, and student development; ability to maintain confidentiality; sound judgment; tolerance and acceptance; and experience with diverse populations. The position is guided by collaboration, coordination, cooperation, communication and collegiality.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
