McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor, Heart and Vascular Internist position in the Department of Cardiology. The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through clinical practice, research, teaching, and administrative activities. This presents a unique opportunity for BC/BE Internal medicine physicians with a specific interest in cardiology to collaborate with and be a part of the cardiology team at UTHealth. If so desired, this opportunity can further enhance the successful candidate's skills and curriculum vitae for eventual application to a Cardiology Fellowship program.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Heart and Vascular Internist will manage and treat patients admitted to the Heart and Vascular Institute, collaborate in research programs, and participate in supervision and teaching of Advanced Care providers.

Qualifications :

The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Internal Medicine board certification/eligibility required.
