The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Risk Management and Insurance. The school operates on all three campuses of USF (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota-Manatee). This position will be housed in the Muma College of Business on Tampa campus. The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance is one of two programs in the State of Florida to offer degree programs in risk management and insurance and is one of the few named schools of risk management and insurance in the country. In addition to strong financial support from industry, the school also benefits from the support of an experienced and active Risk Advisory Council. The current hiring plan reflects the ongoing commitment of the University of South Florida to support the school as it pursues the overarching goal of being a leading program in risk management and insurance. Our objectives are to educate and support the development of the next generation of talented risk management and insurance professionals, to produce high-quality research that informs public policy and the academic literature, and to serve consumers, the risk management and insurance industry in the Tampa Bay region, and the State of Florida through the dissemination of information related to risk and its management. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a terminal degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited institution

The successful candidate should also be able to effectively teach courses in risk management and insurance and should demonstrate the ability to fully support the school's development efforts. Preferred candidates will have published in top journals in insurance economics and actuarial science. For a terminal degree in actuarial science, statistics, applied mathematics or related fields, industry experience and industry certification (e.g. FSA or FCAS) is preferred.
