- C&D Supervisor - Water & Sewer
Description
Position SummarySupervises water distribution and wastewater collection crews to safely operate, maintain, and repair mains, services, valves, hydrants, manholes, and lift stations while meeting KPIs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, dispatch, and supervise crews for leak repairs, main/service installs, valve/hydrant maintenance, sewer line cleaning, and emergency response.
- Ensure OSHA compliance including confined space, trenching/shoring, traffic control/MOT, LOTO, and PPE.
- Oversee CMMS work order management, asset PMs, and inventory; verify accurate documentation and closeout.
- Coordinate with customer service, engineering, contractors, and municipalities on outages and digs; issue notices and maps.
- Monitor KPIs (response time, backlog, water loss, SSOs, hydrant/valve turn rates) and implement improvements.
- Coach and evaluate crew leads; participate in hiring, onboarding, and skills development.
- 7+ years in water/wastewater field operations with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficient with CMMS, GIS, and work planning; strong safety leadership.
- CDL (Class A/B) preferred; ability to participate in rotating on‑call.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's in utility technology preferred.
- State Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection license strongly preferred.

Field‑based role with frequent driving, outdoor work in varied weather, and exposure to traffic, confined spaces, biological/chemical hazards, and uneven terrain.
