- Cleaning Room Technician
Description
As a Cleaning Room Technician, you will work in a controlled and strictly regulated clean-room environment to clean, inspect, label, and package precision parts. Your responsibilities include submerging parts into solvent tanks (degreaser, alkaline, acid), rinsing, blow-drying, hand wiping, and ensuring that parts meet quality specifications. You will also inspect assemblies, label, vacuum-seal and package finished components, follow detailed cleaning and assembly instructions ("copy-exact" procedures), and maintain compliance with all clean-room protocols and production schedules.How You Will Do It:
- Operate and maintain cleaning tanks containing degreaser, alkaline cleaners, and acids, ensuring each tank remains within compliance standards for contamination control.
- Perform rinsing, blow-drying, hand wiping and final inspection of cleaned parts to verify they meet customer and internal quality specifications.
- Read and interpret work instructions, drawings and process travelers to understand customer requirements and assembly/testing steps; strictly adhere to "copy exact" procedures.
- Self-inspect assemblies against customer specifications and quality control requirements; document and report any deviations.
- Follow all clean-room protocols including gowning, PPE usage (clean-room suit, eye protection, gloves, respirator as required), contamination control, and safe handling of chemicals.
- Label, package and vacuum-seal components using plastic bag vacuum sealers, in accordance with product specifications and packaging guidelines.
- Monitor equipment operation, maintain supply levels, inspect final product packaging, ensure work area cleanliness and perform light data entry related to production and quality tracking.
- Ensure that the daily production schedule is completed; perform a mix of stationary (at cleaning tank) and non-stationary (material handling, inspection, packaging) functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written materials including drawings, job instructions and process travelers.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge (for data entry and production tracking).
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance record, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
- Comfortable wearing and using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as clean-room suit, gloves, eye protection, respirator when required.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds consistently without assistance and 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
