Job Summary
Provides targeted, advanced-level, clinical counseling, psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation and/or behavioral health services addressing a range of mental health concerns for a diverse population of students/clients utilizing specialized techniques to foster development, remediate mental health problems, and promote positive mental health. Facilitates comprehensive assessments and treatments, referrals for hospitalizations, and/or case reviews.
Essential Functions
• Provide clinical assessment and therapy to patients diagnosed with cancer.
•Assist with ongoing administrative aspects of the study including documentation of the clinical contact (intake and progress notes) and communication with the research team regarding the patient.
• Assist with the research or clinical team's responsibilities occasionally (e.g., data abstraction, data management).
• Attend weekly meetings pertaining to research and patients with the Principal Investigator and other team members
• Assist with research related activities (e.g., literature review, manuscript or presentation preparation, study start up documentation, hand outs).
• Interact with staff inside and outside the University and may include interpreting, explaining, issues and assistance with problems solving.
