About the position

Our summer internship program provides hands-on experience in the electrical construction industry, offering valuable insight into our operations and project management practices before you begin your professional career. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will work under the supervision of experienced Project Engineers and Project Site Supervision, supporting project teams in day-to-day activities related to the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

Day in the life

• Assist in supporting safe work practices and maintaining safe conditions on active construction sites.
• Help conduct compliance checks and audits related to construction activities, materials, and site operations.
• Participate in delivering site-specific orientation for project personnel and subcontractors.
• Support the development and execution of strategies to prevent workplace incidents and promote safety awareness.
• Provide on-site support for construction projects and events as directed by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in a degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must possess a strong desire to start a career in the electrical construction industry.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
• Prior experience in construction or field support is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a government background check and drug screen.

Travel

• Occasional travel to the project site or working from the project site may be required.

Salary Range

• $22.00 or $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
