As a Consultant, Health and Safety, you'll help clients proactively address their most significant EHS risks, enhance safety culture, and achieve regulatory compliance with confidence. You'll support global clients through complex technical challenges while gaining exposure to mentorship, cross-functional projects, and long-term career growth within ERM's rapidly expanding Safety Services team. This is a key stepping stone toward senior consultant and leadership roles across our global practice.

What You'll Bring Required
BS/MS degree in a related field or equivalent experience (6+ years in lieu of education).
24 years of relevant experience in safety, risk management, and EHS compliance. Additional experience with environmental compliance is a plus but not required.
Hands-on experience with running safety programs.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel (up to 80% during peak project periods) domestically and internationally.

Preferred
- Certifications such as CSP or CIH (or aspirations to obtain certification) are a plus, and ERM supports professional development to help you achieve them.
- Consulting experience with proven ability to develop client relationships and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Expertise in delivering corporate H&S strategies, including safety culture, leadership, and serious injury/fatality risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Safety Management Systems and conduct risk assessments for regulatory compliance.
- Perform incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
- Lead safety and industrial hygiene programs with qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments.
- Develop innovative solutions for complex EHS challenges and regulatory issues.
- Design and direct corporate H&S strategies across diverse industries.
- Manage projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule while exceeding client expectations.
- Develop and deliver training.
- Participate in EHS audits.
- Build and nurture client relationships to drive repeat business and expand ERM's market presence.
For the Consultant, Health and Safety position, the anticipated annual base pay is $76,000 - $88,324 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
