Job Summary
The Deputy Project Director will oversee the assigned project and/or program(s), responsible for the development and execution of project work products, to include but not limited to program timelines, budgets, reports, and other products as identified. This includes leading fieldwork implementation, direct technical assistance to program beneficiaries, supporting the Senior Technical Advisor II (STA), and being responsible for day-to-day activities. Leads and is responsible for the project's technical side, including technologies used, deployed/to be deployed. All field staff (employees and consultants) report directly to the Deputy Project Director. Manages and is responsible for beneficiary relations, communications, and quality of (assistance) service provided directly. or overseeing field staff beneficiary (account) management. Alongside STA coordinates work with (technical) partners, communicates and maintains business relationship(s).

Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science or related field required
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively on the technical aspects of implementation with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Proven track of working effectively with other projects, media and civil society, high-level host country host government counterparts, and other international partners.
- Excellent command of English language is required.
- Strong representation and organization skills.
- A level of education combined with your professional experience will adequately show you can contribute meaningfully to the role.
- Proficient in all Microsoft and FOSS productivity software.
- Very strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Deep understanding of Center for Internet Security, Critical Security Controls (CIS CSC) or at least one industry-recognized security framework like NIST SP 800-53/171, ISO27001, and/or CSO community-driven SAFETAG framework.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks using structured methodologies. Experience conducting threat and vulnerability assessments.
- Proficiency in planning, conducting, and reporting on external assessments.
- Ability to document findings clearly and produce actionable recommendations.
- Review and evaluate security policies, incident response plans, and data protection strategies.
- Ability to translate technical findings into executive-friendly reports.
- Experience conducting or supporting organizational assessments, penetration testing oversight, or security compliance assessments.
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as experience developing solid professional relationships.
- A record of success as a forward-leaning, entrepreneurial, and adaptive leader within organizations
- Broad experience designing and delivering remote or in-person assistance and training.
- Experience servicing global beneficiaries and organizations of different missions, sizes, and mandates.
- Outstanding interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive job experience
- Demonstrated skills in methodically solving problems in fast-paced environments.
- Experience assessing technical and administrative controls for adequacy and effectiveness.
- Relevant certifications preferred (depending on specialization)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and/or,
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or,
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Your Daily Tasks
- Support the day-to-day management of the DS360 program
- Other support duties as needed.
