Lead Our Dietary Team and Make a Difference Every Day

Alhambra Post Acute is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Dietary Manager to oversee all aspects of our Dietary Services Department. In this leadership role, you will ensure residents receive nutritious, appetizing meals that meet their individual dietary needs while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

What You'll Do

As the Dietary Manager, you will:

✅ Oversee daily food service operations, meal preparation, and meal delivery

✅ Ensure meals are prepared according to physician orders, dietary requirements, and approved menus

✅ Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and portion control

✅ Manage departmental budgets, food costs, inventory, and supply ordering

✅ Plan special meals and events for holidays and resident celebrations

✅ Hire, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate dietary staff

✅ Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations

✅ Process diet orders, maintain diet cards, and ensure resident records are accurate

✅ Complete nutritional assessments and monthly nutritional documentation

✅ Collaborate with Nursing, Activities, and the interdisciplinary care team

✅ Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings

✅ Conduct department inspections and implement corrective actions when needed

✅ Provide ongoing staff education and in-service training

✅ Visit residents regularly to review preferences, dietary needs, and satisfaction with food services

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Dietary Manager course that meets state and federal regulations
• Ability to lead and supervise a dietary team effectively
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare dietary department
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) software
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutritional documentation

• Must maintain all required certifications, continuing education, and regulatory requirements
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health Licensing and Certification Division
