Description
The Director of Lean & Enterprise Transformation leads the design, deployment, and sustainment of the OHD Lean Operating System across eight U.S. manufacturing plants. This role ensures operational excellence by embedding Lean thinking, leadership discipline, and customer value creation into every process. Responsible for measurable improvements in productivity, cost, safety, quality, and engagement, this leader will partner with Plant Managers and functional executives to drive enterprise transformation through system governance, capability development, and cultural adoption.- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Master's degree and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a Lean leadership role.
- Proven success deploying Lean systems across multi-site manufacturing environments.
- Deep knowledge of Lean principles, systems thinking, and operational excellence frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in building products or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across U.S. sites.

- Integrate Lean governance through Tier 1-4 management routines linking plant operations to enterprise strategy.
- Ensure alignment of Lean systems with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Customer Value pillars.
Performance & Financial Accountability
- Deliver measurable business impact through Lean deployment, targeting 3-5% year-over-year cost improvement per site.
- Partner with Operations Finance to validate productivity savings, cost-out initiatives, and ROI of improvement project
- Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, and delivery performance through structured problem solving.
Lean Maturity & Capability Development
- Establish and govern the Lean maturity assessment and certification process (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Conduct quarterly maturity assessments for each site and coach plant leadership on next-level development.
- Facilitate training, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving workshops to strengthen internal capability.
Governance & System Integration
- Lead the enterprise Lean governance cadence including weekly reviews, monthly transformation updates, and quarterly executive reviews.
- Partner with Plant Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, EHS, Quality, Materials, and PMO to integrate Lean into daily operations.
- Ensure standardization, alignment, and accountability across all plant-level Lean deployments.
Leadership & Cultural Transformation
- Serve as a visible change agent who models leadership discipline and daily Gemba engagement.
- Coach plant and functional leaders to lead with process and data rather than opinion.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and respect for people across all sites.
Leadership Expectations
- Operates as an enterprise transformation leader, influencing systems and data.
- Embeds Lean leadership behaviors into executive and plant-level routines.
- Demonstrates relentless pursuit of waste elimination, flow, and customer value creation.
- Acts as the enterprise guardian of the OHD Lean Operating System, ensuring its adoption and sustainment.
