Starting Salary Range: $193,000 - $240,000; depending on experience

Position Overview:
Expand UMC's presence with Enterprise and Mission Critical accounts by developing, maintaining, and fostering new and existing opportunities in Western Washington and Regionally. Develop relationships with stakeholders in the data center and enterprise account market sectors, targeting strategic customers. Procure mechanical design and construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business for the company.
- Be well versed in the markets for UMC. Maintain understanding of trends, news, stakeholders, competitors, and events.
- Organize and manage a team focused on the sales, pre-construction, engineering and marketing efforts associated with the market segment.
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of a Market Plan for the vertical markets in coordination with UMC stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
- Participate and lead the strategic planning initiatives associated with the market segments for local and regional opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships and accounts.
- Lead and/or assist in the development of RFP and RFQ responses.
- Participate in client interviews.
- Be proficient in developing conceptual estimates at an early stage in the project.
- Accurately maintain and update the budget throughout preconstruction.
- Communicate and turn over complete, detailed estimates to construction team.
- Perform construction feasibility studies on third party designs.
- Consult with clients on the design of their facility facilitate design process throughout preconstruction, resulting in a budget-based design that meets the client's needs.
- Perform and/or manage design work as needed.
- Review budget estimates.
- Understand and follow the UMC AIM processes as applicable.

- Depending on experience and client expectations, may be required to perform the functions of the Project Executive for a project.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the bid process and the procurement of new work.
- Procure, develop, and maintain client contacts/relations.
- Participate in the Catalytic Coaching process.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 3 5 years of prior management experience leading a highly technical team.
- Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work.
- Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.
- Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts.
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail errors & mistakes can result in significant financial losses.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic results driven.
- Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, CRM.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Supervise Project Executives, Account Managers, Engineers and Estimators associated with the Market Segments. May supervise the marketing effort on proposals.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A minimum of ten years' experience as a mechanical engineer, project executive or project manager
- Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or Construction Management degree.
Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
- Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
