Pay: $22.63 - $24.01
($22.58 - 23.96 / hour + $0.75 / hour shift premium)

Role: 2nd shift Winder
You may see yourself in this role, if you are an experienced production operator who has mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, two years prior manufacturing experience, and are looking for a serious career opportunity.
You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer, including:
- Reading, understanding and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications to complete assignments with limited supervision.
- Moving coils to workstations.
- Using wooden blocking, cooling ducts and other insulation materials.
- Shrink wrapping windings for storage.
- Framing and top-yoking active part of transformer.
- Properly identifying and calculating lengths of cable for all lead runs; preparing leads as well as cable assemblies; making all necessary connections and routing and tying off leads.
- Verifying correct installation of insulation and lead, ensuring all clearances are maintained and all crimped, bolted and/or brazed connections are installed properly.
- Loading units in oven with overhead crane utilizing safe lifting practices.
- Preparing cover and other components for mounting onto tank or active part.
- Moving unit to and from test bay using overhead crane.

Requirements:Basic:
- Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
- Ability to work evening or night shift;
- Able to work limited over-time as needed;
- Able to work limited over-time on Saturdays and/or Sundays, if necessary;
- Ability to read, understand and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications;
- Ability to perform basic mathematics and computations;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English.
- Resides or intends to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri;
- Has current work authorization for employment within the United States;
- Must complete: Application, job interview, talent assessment, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Safety Sensitive Position: Drug screen includes THC.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous manufacturing experience;
