Description

We are looking for a Dust Collection/Cleaner associate to join our maintenance team at Lakeside Book Company. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help move the finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country.

Starting Rate: $20.50 per hourHours: 6am-2pm Monday through Friday, some flexibility requiredLocation: North plant: 2347 Kratzer Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and South plant, 1025 Willow Spring Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801

As a Dust Collection/Cleaning Associate, you will:

• Clean rafters using a lift when dust levels reach designated thresholds.
• Keep the building and the area in front of the Baler Room clean and swept.
• Remove debris from walk aisles to maintain safe and clear pathways.
• Inspect and monitor dust levels on rafters during preventive maintenance or downtime.
• Record North and South Plant monthly dust readings.
• Pick up trash and maintain general cleanliness around the building.
• Operate a scissor lift safely and perform cleaning tasks at elevated heights.
• Follow all company safety rules and regulations.

What you bring to the table:

• Flexible work schedule with weekend and nights involved
• Possess or ability to obtain PIV, Hoist, and Golf Cart license
• Ability to train to operate One-person, Scissor, and Boom lifts
• Active drivers license for travel between both North and South Plants
• Attention to details and the ability to self-manage with limited supervision
• Ability to stand and climb the entire duration of your shift
