Work Hours: This is an hourly position. Hours will be based on operational needs and may include evenings, weekends, and overtime.
Starting Rate: $25.25

Position Summary
The Safety Coordinator supports the implementation of corporate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and systems at the site. This hourly role assists with safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and employee training. Flexible hours, including occasional overtime, may be required to maintain a safe and compliant work environment and meet operational needs.
As a Safety Coordinator, you will:
- Assist in developing and executing safety and environmental programs aligned with corporate standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leaders to maintain safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant working conditions.
- Design and deliver safety training sessions covering PPE, ergonomics, waste management, and hazardous materials handling.
- Prepare safety meeting materials, facilitate safety committee meetings, and conduct site assessments for regulatory compliance.
- Support accident investigations and recommend measures to prevent incidents and hazards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
- Obtain and maintain necessary permits related to processes, equipment, and discharges.
- Address enforcement issues, accidents, and equipment malfunctions promptly, in coordination with corporate EHS and legal teams.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams on safety and environmental considerations.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Up to 3 years of relevant safety or environmental experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to apply proven solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows/Mac); familiarity with specialized EHS software preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed.
- Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and a proactive approach to safety and environmental compliance.
