The Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences (BCHS) in the School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh (https://www.bchs.pitt.edu/), invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position for the 2026 spring term.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences and/or a related public health field. Prior classroom lecture experience at an institution of higher learning is preferred. Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in the subject matter being instructed. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to utilize teaching technologies and learning software platforms.
Duties:
Teach CONCEPT MAPPING: A PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH METHOD (BCHS 2610), 1 morning per week from 9:00 a.m. 11:50 a.m.
Meet with students beyond the classroom as may be appropriate to their educational needs.
Provide regular feedback to students in the form of in-class desk critiques, reviews, and graded assignments.
