This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.
Swedish Match North America LLC, develops, manufactures, and sells quality products with market-leading brands such as ZYN nicotine pouches and other smokeless tobacco products. Our vision is "A world without cigarettes," and our mission is to provide adult consumers with alternatives that are enjoyable but have a lower risk than smoking. We are one of the fastest-growing consumer-packaged-goods (CPG) producers and ZYN is the number one selling nicotine pouch in the US.
In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision, we are currently seeking a Field Operations Manager. The successful candidate will manage our 7-Eleven account and support both Corporate and Franchisee execution and national programming.
Your 'day to day':
- Responsible for local 7-Eleven Corporate operations and 7-Eleven Franchise Organization Association (FOA) account headquarters, supporting execution of national retailer programming to build sales volume and share within assignment.
- Enhance and improve overall customer partnerships with local 7-Eleven Corporate operations personnel and 7-Eleven FOA Leadership through building customer relationships, effective sales and promotion execution, merchandising support and overall effective customer management. Support national 7-Eleven Corporate strategies/initiatives to enhance promotional program impact, plan-o-gram integrity, pricing and maintain product availability standards within assignment.
- Assess market dynamics and customer needs, utilizing resources, programs and market-based funding options. Deliver recommendations and insights to 7-Eleven Key Account Manager.
- Deliver timely and accurate completion reporting on sales, promotion, and merchandising effectiveness for 7-Eleven versus plan to 7-Eleven Key Account Manager.
- Meet sales volume and market share objectives.
- Work closely with Retail Team through consistent training on 7-Eleven store systems and effective communication processes to ensure implementation and flawless execution of programs at store level.
- Support of 7-Eleven FOA trade shows, board member meetings and FOA events within the local assignment to enhance partnerships and build sales volume and share within assignment
- Effective development and delivery of key customer presentations (business reviews, planning sessions, new items/programs, etc.) to local 7-Eleven Corporate operations call points and 7-Eleven FOA leadership teams.
- Deliver on-going regional support through field market visits with Swedish Match retail team personnel and regular quarterly updates to Swedish Match Region retail leadership
- Understand and utilize syndicated data (Nielsen), and distributor generated shipment reports (MSA) to uncover opportunities for continued business growth and develop effective programs to capitalize on those opportunities by working in conjunction with the retailer, distributor, and Retail Team personnel.
- Travel: Up to 75%
Who we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a similar role required.
- 3+ years sales experience with food, convenience, or mass merchandise channels of trade in a consumer goods area. 7-Eleven experience a plus.
- Strong planning, organization, leadership, analytical, and teamwork skills are required.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint required.
- Accomplished presentation skills, including the ability to develop and deliver effective fact-based presentations in a persuasive format required.
- Due to frequent travel requirements, candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a major airport.
- Fluent in English
