Description
Job Description:Will be working as an Office Assistant for the Department of Criminology - greeting visitors and providing assistance to faculty and staff as necessary. Copying, filing, data entry, running campus deliveries, creating Microsoft Office documents, helping with event planning and other general office duties as needed.Minimum Qualifications: Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to answer multiline phone and good customer service skills.
Applicants must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for Fall/Spring 25-260 Semester in order to apply for this position. Applicants are asked to demonstrate proof of their FWS award by saving their "Award Overview" screen from OASIS as a print screen and then pasting it into a Word document and upload it as part of any additional required application materials. If other documents (in addition to your FWS award) are required as part of your application, you must upload ALL documents as one document. • Directing visitors appropriately
• Assisting Faculty, Staff and Academic Advisors as needed
• Assisting Faculty during class time
• Copying/Shredding/Filing
• Stocking office supplies
• Sorting and sending mail
• Making campus deliveries
• Assistance with event planning/special events
• Corresponding with outside agencies on behalf of the department
• Creating documents using Microsoft Office Programs
• Assisting the Internship Coordinator as needed
Average Number of Hours per Week: Can work up to 20 hours per week.
Schedule: Business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Will work around class schedule but work cannot be scheduled in conflict with Classes. Please provide a copy of your class schedule.
