GLOBAL DIRECTOR, BUSINESS ENABLEMENT & ADOPTIONBaltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is the global leader in sustainable solutions for evaporative cooling, thermal storage, and heat transfer equipment, headquartered in Jessup, Maryland. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Global Director, Business Enablement & Adoption to own and evolve our enterprise-wide SAP and broader application landscape, drive digital transformation, and ensure global process excellence across all business functions.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Global Director, Business Enablement & Adoption is a senior leader responsible for defining and executing the SAP and associated enterprise applications strategy, optimizing business processes, and ensuring operational excellence across BAC's global footprint. This role balances leadership, technical depth, and business partnership, driving successful SAP transformation programs, modernizing enterprise applications, and enabling world-class customer experiences.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define and execute the global SAP and associated enterprise applications strategy and roadmap aligned with business strategy and digital transformation goals, including leading S/4HANA transformation programs and evaluating emerging technology capabilities (AI, automation, cloud ERP).
- Drive standardization, simplification, and modernization of business processes across regions, ensuring seamless integration of SAP with non-SAP systems and enterprise architecture.
- Establish business process governance, architecture standards, and data integrity practices for SAP platforms including ERP, S/4HANA, SAP CX Suite, and associated integrated enterprise applications.
- Lead global SAP programs, managing budgets, resources, and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable digital-enabled solutions and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global direct and indirect team, including SAP functional leads, analysts, project managers, and contractors, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Partner with the global infrastructure lead to manage system integrators and strategic vendors, negotiate and oversee SAP and partner contracts, and optimize total cost of ownership while improving service quality.
- Ensure SAP systems comply with global regulatory and audit requirements, maintaining strong controls (SOX, GDPR, etc.), including data governance, cybersecurity, and system reliability.
- Oversee the prioritization of enhancements and change requests, including business case preparation, cost-benefit analysis, and negotiation of prioritization with global functional directors and VPs.
- Establish process approaches within all business functions, ensuring clear understanding of process inputs, outputs, and KPIs, and lead the definition and creation of KPIs to measure achievement of goals.
- Oversee and ensure governance policies are in place for SAP master data management related to all functional areas.
- Oversee and ensure creation of functional specifications for enhancements and change requests, ensuring effective testing and training to maintain high quality standards.
- Monitor key success metrics such as S/4HANA transformation delivery, process efficiency improvements, system uptime, business satisfaction, adoption rates, and reduction in customization and technical debt.
The Global Director, Business Enablement & Adoption's function is a matrix organization. This role reports to the Global Vice President, Chief Digital & Information Officer. The position will have both direct and indirect reports from various regions globally. Preferred location for this role is Jessup, MD however alternate locations will be considered for the right candidate.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise applications, with deep SAP - and business process improvement expertise.
- Proven leadership of global SAP programs, including at least one S/4HANA transformation and experience in global/multi-regional organizations.
- Track record managing large teams and multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, etc.), SAP cloud products (CPQ, SAP-C, SAC, etc.), and modern enterprise architecture.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, executive presence, and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, drive change at scale, and demonstrate urgency and an opportunistic mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, SAP certifications, cloud platform experience, and knowledge of AI/ML use cases within SAP ecosystem preferred.
