The Global Supply Planner manages the master production schedule and supply planning processes for Illumina's manufacturing sites. This role is part of Illumina's Global Operational Planning team and contributes to the integrated business management process. Each month the leadership team seeks to achieve consensus with various functions across the organization to meet the needs of Illumina's customers. This is done through demand/supply balancing, inventory management, capacity reviews, capital investments, opportunity identification and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain master production schedule for assigned product category based on forecast
- Interface with Demand Planning and Operational Planning to provide input for developing and consolidating forecasts for top level products and accessories
- Coordinate with Supply Chain personnel to ensure production, material scheduling and inventory system accuracy and that the quantities of on-hand components/materials are sufficient to meet production and shipping schedules
- Own and develop production and supplier capacity models and generate reports for management and others, as needed
- Host monthly Supply Review meetings and present escalations and special topics in Operational Planning forums
- Interface with other departments and/or suppliers to identify, communicate and resolve production, scheduling or materials related problems
- Define, update and maintain supply chain management policies and data impacting inventory levels, batch sizes, safety stocks and reorder points
- Own Supply Chain input to Change Management process including ECO review and sign off
- Coordinate phase in and phase out of production materials, including new product releases, to minimize obsolescence
- Assess change in demand to inventory position to ensure proper evaluation and E&O risk management across supply chain
Requirements:
- 5+ years materials planning and inventory control experience including at least 2 years working with multiple product lines
- Medical device manufacturing experience is desirable
- Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and other enterprise software applications, word processing, spreadsheets, functional databases and project management
- Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations
- Excellent math skills, strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with GMP and ISO requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of management, including executives, and to interface well with cross-functional teammates
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree a plus
- CPIM, CPSM or CSCP certification desirable
The estimated base salary range for the Global Supply Planner role based in the United States of America is: $80,900 - $121,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
