TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking an energetic and experienced Commercial Strategy & Growth expert to join our growing Smart Mobility team.About the Role:

TransCore is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Strategy & Growth expert to develop the product commercialization approach & drive growth through partnerships. This will act as a catalyst for TransCore's Smart Mobility initiative with the intent to rethink how users move, providing innovative, user-friendly solutions to their day-to-day lives reaching millions of users across the globe. This "zero to one" role is pivotal in building an entirely new product & ecosystem from scratch. You'll drive the commercial strategy and execution, developing a robust partnership pipeline unlocking new vectors to scale so our product can meet customer needs, support user growth & critical journeys, while unlocking new mobility use cases and verticals.

Location: This position will be based in Nashville, TN (preferred), Austin, TX, Washington DC or Raleigh, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial strategy & growth of our mobile tolling platform and its expansion into a multi-modal mobility ecosystem. Requires deep expertise in pricing, commercialization, go-to-market strategy, partnerships, and business development.
- Define and execute the long-term commercialization and growth strategy for TransCore's Smart Mobility initiative.
- Build and prioritize a diversification pipeline across tolling, parking, EV, transit, fleet, and adjacent mobility verticals.
- Identify, develop, and structure strategic partnerships with agencies, municipalities, and private mobility providers.
- Shape early pilots, proof-of-concepts, and MoUs that inform product development and validate market demand.
- Translate partner and customer insights into product requirements and GTM priorities.
- Design and model business cases, revenue strategies, and partnership frameworks to guide investment and scaling decisions.
- Represent TransCore externally at industry forums, client workshops, and conferences to build visibility and credibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance) to align ecosystem strategy with user and revenue growth.
- Establish foundational BD processes and KPIs (partnerships initiated, pilots scoped, ecosystem coverage) that evolve into revenue and adoption metrics post-launch.
- Business travel will be required.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in consulting, business development, commercialization, corporate strategy, or strategic partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred but not required
- Proven success in developing and executing growth strategies in technology, transportation, mobility, or adjacent sectors.
- Strong track record of building and negotiating strategic partnerships, pilots, and commercialization agreements.
- Deep understanding of smart mobility, transportation tech, or ecosystem-based business models (tolling, parking, EV, transit, fleets, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to build financial models, business cases, and ROI frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across public and private sectors.
- Experience operating in "zero-to-one" environments and comfortable with ambiguity, building from scratch, and scaling new ecosystems.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and operations teams.
- Experience engaging with government agencies, municipalities, or regulatory bodies a strong plus.
- Able and willing to travel according to business needs.
