Global Helium Helium Tech II Location: Fife, WA The Helium Division distributes liquid and gaseous Helium for use in a variety of applications, including electronics, optical fibers, MRI/NMR, leak detection, and metal fabrication. Helium Transfill Technician I - Global Helium and Rare Gases is responsible for completing the following: - Committed to personal safety and environmental accountability. - Safe handling of hazardous materials (liquid & gaseous helium). - The ability to load / unload and secure product in accordance with DOT guidelines. - Perform duties; as trained; under minimal supervision, and in diverse weather conditions. Available for callout. - Computer and software use, for example: email, spreadsheets, data entry. - Accurately completes documentation such as VTS Order's, timesheets, electronic logs, EAM work orders, and regulatory reports/Inspections. - The ability to complete hazardous work permits in conjunction with lock out / tag out permits. - The ability to complete Bill of Lading forms for hazardous materials shipping. - The ability to ensure hazardous material packages are labeled in accordance with hazmat guidelines. - The ability to calibrate and operate gas analytical sampling equipment. - Must be able to perform pre and post gas trailer inspections, along with the ability to complete gas trailer data entry and shipping documents. - Must be able to perform liquid trailer inbound and outbound inspections, and data entry. - The ability to top off nitrogen liquid shields on liquid trailers. - Maintains facility equipment through proper PM's and assist with helium compressor rebuilds. - Fill liquid & gas helium Bulk containers to our QMS (quality management system) standards. - Operate a yard tractor. - Participates in and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations including DOT and company policy. - Reviews and follows procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements. - Performs Startup, Shutdown, and operation of various equipment. ( example: ) Gas compression, cylinder filling, cryogenic filling, vacuum pumps and analytical equipment. - Product composition and quality sampling and testing, and routine inspection and calibration of gauges, thermometers and associated equipment. - The ability to perform routine minor repairs/ replacement of gauges and wheels on helium and nitrogen dewars. - Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Education and Experience Required: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - 2 Year associates degree is preferred. - Industrial experience including liquid/gaseous product filling/unloading is preferred. - Valid CDL driver's license class B with acceptable record required or willing to obtain within first year of employment. Skills Required: - Basic c omputer skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, Data entry, etc. - Able to pass a pre-employment and DOT physical (up to and including drug & alcohol test). - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Ability to work shifts in accordance with DOT guidelines, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays - Ability to work safely around various types of cryogenic and high pressure equipment - Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location. - Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships.
