- HLA Product Support Representative

Description As an HLA Product Support Representative, this role supports the enterprise-wide coordination of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) product requests, which includes facilitating donor searches, managing patient case information, coordinating sample logistics, and assisting with the selection and preparation of HLA-matched products for transfusion programs.

Schedule: Days: Monday -Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (Saturday 8% hourly shift diff)

- Initiate and support processes related to product inventory, patient sample coordination, donor reinstatement, and post donation documentation.
- Communicate product movement to the Distribution team and donor recruitment needs to the Fixed Site Recruitment team.
- Act as a liaison for referred patients and physicians regarding HLA-selected platelets; initiate consultation with HLA Lab or Medical Director as needed.
- Deliver quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and responsiveness.
Requirements
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Understanding of relevant medical terminology required.
- Knowledge of HLA terminology, blood typing and products transplant and transfusion-related concepts preferred.
- Strong understanding of HLA principles, blood typing, and product coordination to support high level decision making preferred.
- 4 years of relevant experience in healthcare, blood center or product coordination required.
- 1 year of experience in donor care, hospital distribution, or dispatch coordination preferred.
