DescriptionVitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. In this role, you will play a crucial part in Vitalant's lifesaving work by managing blood and blood product inventory, preparing and packaging orders, and ensuring safe, timely delivery to local hospitals and the patients they serve. Whether you are beginning your career or new to the blood banking field, we will provide the training, guidance, and support needed for you to grow and succeed. Join our Distribution team in Billings and earn $1,500 in retention bonuses within your first year!
*This role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: the first at 6 months and the second at 12 months*
What to Expect
Schedule: 5 days per week, varied days 8am - 5pm + overnight on-call rotation

- Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
- Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
- Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
- Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid in-state driver's license required
- Six months of customer service experience required
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
- Able to lift 40lbs+
- Attention-to-detail and computer skills required
