SummaryThe Installation Manager will oversee and manage the successful installation of compressed air systems, including compressors, dryers, filters, piping, and related equipment. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Installation Manager will lead installation teams, coordinate with customers, and collaborate with sales and service departments to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Plan, schedule, and oversee installation projects for compressed air equipment and systems.
- Ensure installations meet technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate installation technicians and subcontractors.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to installation teams.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during installation projects.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure a seamless transition from project sale to system start-up.
- Address customer concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Technical & Compliance
- Review installation drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee system start-up, testing, and handover to service teams.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency and reduce costs.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to best-practice processes for future projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in installation, project management, or service management within the compressed air or industrial equipment industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing field teams.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- OSHA or related safety certifications (preferred).
- Willingness to travel regionally to customer sites.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of compressed air systems (compressors, dryers, filtration, piping).
- Strong project management and scheduling abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
