The Department of Psychology at the University of Houston (UH) main campus invites applications for two non-tenure-track Instructional Assistant Professor positions to begin September 1, 2026.
Located in the heart of the nation's fourth largest city, with over 46,000 students on the main campus. The Department of Psychology has 3400+ undergraduate majors and successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the department's undergraduate teaching goals with a load of five courses in each of the Fall and Spring semesters. The ability to teach a breadth of topics is desirable, including courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Child Development, Adolescence, Research Methods, Personality Psychology, Statistics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology. The initial appointment in these positions is for nine months, with the possibility of renewal.

Qualifications
A terminal degree (PhD, PsyD) in Psychology or a related field and prior teaching experience are required.
Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates.
