Garden City Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in Modesto, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our Environmental Services team. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Make available a sufficient quantity of clean linen to ensure proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry and personal items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and infection control procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report any shortages.
• Use all laundry equipment and cleaning supplies safely and correctly.
• Report any equipment issues or needed repairs to the Administrator.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and operate industrial washers, dryers, and cleaning equipment safely.
