What You Will Do:
- Project management for a variety of interesting projects and clients to deliver successful results meeting the contracted scope of services, within fee budget, and in accordance with the schedule for each project
- Lead design, production, coordination, and detailing of hardscape / softscape for projects including technical and compliance related items as well as meeting or exceeding client's sustainability objectives
- Work collaboratively with external clients, internal team members, public groups, and other design professionals throughout the design process and effectively communicate via written, verbal, and graphic means
- Develop creative and aesthetic design solutions and proficiency in developing construction documents with AutoCad Civil 3D, and LandFX
- Meet billable utilization goals
- Identify and bring in new clients and projects to the company.
- Provide strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills which enable effective and professional interaction with clients, employees, municipalities, and the public.
- Ability to write project narratives, prepare development applications, prepare submittal documents, and response letters.
- Ability to research municipal code, zoning and development standards, review processes, regulations, design standards, and more
- Work on several projects and project teams simultaneously
- Effectively lead presentations at public meetings and hearings
- Participate as a member of a team, with an ability to collaborate effectively through asking questions, providing input, and listening to others
What You Will Bring:
- Professional Landscape Architect, registered in the state of Texas
- 8 years of direct experience as a licensed professional working in the Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth areas
- Registration in Oklahoma or other adjacent states is a plus
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required
- Knowledge of local and regional regulatory requirements and landscape architecture codes and requirements in Texas
- Applicants are encouraged to upload a PDF portfolio including up to five (5) examples of their work
- Possess landscape architecture experience focused on site design and project management for both hardscape and softscape projects
- Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to occasionally travel to project sites in national locations If project needs arise
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Ability to work in posted location
