Description

• • Monitoring and reporting:
    • Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to RNs or doctors.

    • Observe and record patient reactions to medications and treatments.

    • Collect specimens, such as blood and urine, for lab testing.

    
    
  • Communication and education:
    • Explain procedures and care plans to patients and their families.

    • Communicate with patients and their families to address concerns and provide support.

    • Ensure patients and families understand discharge instructions.

    
    
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and records.

    • Document patient care, vital signs, and observations in a timely manner.

    
    
  • Team collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.

    • Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other support staff.
    
    

  Patient care:

  • Administer prescribed medications and injections.

  • Perform wound care, including changing dressings and applying compresses.

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

  • Change and administer catheters.

  
  
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations.
