Description
Essential Functions:- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems
- Assure vendors follow the Menasha Contractor Safety guidelines and stay current on annual orientation
- Provide ongoing communication regarding work orders in process and status of various projects
- Complete scheduled work orders electronically and monitor results
- Successfully complete work order process, including computer implementation, prioritization, distribution and follow-through
- Prioritize work orders, breakdowns, miscellaneous projects, and communicate with Maintenance Team and/or appropriate individuals
- Assure weekly maintenance cleaning is complete and paperwork signed (includes maintenance office, mezzanine, and maintenance storage locations)
- Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating a cohesive work environment
- Discuss maintenance concerns with maintenance supervisor and lead
- Proactively communicate problems encountered to applicable areas
- Work as a Maintenance Team to accomplish workload
- Give direction to Maintenance Personnel to accomplish workload
- Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor regarding workload, performance issues, etc.
- Provide electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Perform preventive maintenance duties and provide accurate documentation of such duties
- Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
- Technical knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong math skills
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Metal fabrication skills
- Printing background preferred
Education/Certification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance Technician preferred.
