Description
SUMMARY This position plays a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within a warehouse or plant. Performs a variety of stockroom functions including production order picking, warehouse storage, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, and material distribution and/or delivery as assigned per location requirements. Works with a team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within an Amphenol CIT facility. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Demonstrates proficiency in all warehouse or stockroom operations such as receiving, order picking, storage, packaging, shipping, inventory control, record-keeping, data input, and material distribution. Assists in maintaining the flow of work and materials based on scheduled supplier deliveries, customer orders, and other internal or external delivery requirements according to established priorities. Performs and ensures accurate and timely RF gun and physical transactions as well as verify accuracy of transactions/paperwork regarding stocking, movement, or other required material or goods activities. May use pallet jack, scales or other machinery to disperse and move material. May prepare, mark/label/tag and/or package materials or goods for receipt, storage, delivery or shipment according to location or customer requirements. Maintains and improves inventory accuracy. Assists or conducts activities such cycle counts, physical counts, hand counts or other inventory validation and control measures as assigned. Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner. Performs under the Lean Management principles and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FAA, ITAR) related to shipping and receiving. Improving inventory accuracy through cycle counts or other validation measures. Collaborating with internal departments to address missing packages, incorrect deliveries, damaged products, etc., to support the team. Maintains a clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company* SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. JOB SKILLS Beginner in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred. Sound knowledge of fundamental material handling processes as applicable include customer order fulfillment activities & packaging, inventory control and disposition, supply documentation, data and transactional management, material distribution and/or delivery, warehouse or stockroom control techniques, and cycle or physical counting. Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment. Demonstrates sound judgment when following through with priorities. Ability to effectively to questions from managers and employees. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts with respect to job-related situations. Ability to handle interruptions and maintain focus. Experience working with an RF Gun preferred. Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams. Writing skills required to complete documents and forms. Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands. A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical requirements outlined below indicate those necessary to fulfill this position's core responsibilities. While performing job duties, the employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and using a ladder may be required. This position also demands specific vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT Warehouse environment: This is a work environment where employees typically work inside a facility and perform various tasks related to storing, processing, and shipping goods and materials. Some of the everyday activities that a warehouse worker does are preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, receiving and processing warehouse stock products, performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits, keeping a clean and safe working environment, and optimizing space utilization and operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas. Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas. Hearing protection in specific locations. Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
