MCFR Program Manager
TerraPower is seeking a Program Manager to support the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor (MCFR) Program. This position reports to the MCFR Project Management Discipline Manager. The role centers on the planning and execution of the MCFR Demonstration Reactor Program goals and objectives to support commercialization of MCFR technology. You will manage a team of project managers and collaborate with Engineer, Technology, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other support organizations in a high-performing, multi-disciplinary environment to develop the MCFR Demonstration Reactor. This role is hybrid with a minimum of three on-site days per week. The ability to be physically present at our Bellevue, WA headquarters and Everrett WA laboratory is required. Help advance a first-of-a-kind nuclear reactor towards commercial development.
Responsibilities:
• Apply project management principles to plan, execute, and control the overall program to ensure that milestones are being met across various projects and/or subprogram elements.
• Ensure projects and/or subprogram elements are aligned with the strategic plan of the organization.
• Coordinate the projects and their interdependence between the various projects and/or subprograms in the program.
• Accountable for maintaining team's focus on successful cost, schedule, and performance execution
• Provides guidance and support toward project strategies and processes, including metric definition and analysis, documentation, root-cause analysis, and best practices.
• Provide project stakeholders consistent and frequent project communications to enhance clarity on project priorities, issues, and progress
• Responsible for the coordination and oversight of a geographically diverse team. The team members include TerraPower employees, subcontractor employees, and partner planning and project controls teams.
• Utilize EVMS principles and other project control best practices in the development and maintenance of the integrated master control schedule and cost baseline.
• Accountable for completion of periodic estimating deliverables (annually, stage gate, revisions) following procedural requirements.
• Partner with various corporate groups (Finance, HR, IT, etc.) and coordinate smooth operational support.
• Manage, develop, and motivate Delta Project Management staff and team members
Key Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering and 15 years of relevant experience for level 12, or 18 years of relevant experience for level 13. Experience level may be partially substituted for advanced degree depending on position relevance
• 2+ years of supervisory leadership or management role of personnel with demonstrated success for level 12, or 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience for level 13.
• PMP required
• Experience in data analysis, risk management, and other aspects of project management.
• Deep experience in Microsoft Project or P6, including implementation, reporting, critical path method
• Proficiency in project metrics/key performance indicator development, dashboard development, and dashboard management
• Knowledge and experience in work control, planning and scheduling applications integration.
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

Salary Range Level 12: $169,922 - $235,464
Salary Range Level 13: $194,197 - $279,158
*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
