MCTIS System AnalystSystem Analyst - Marine Corps Tactical Instrumentation Systems (MCTIS) Quantico, VA Estimated Start Date: 1 March 2026 The MCTIS System Analyst is the core of the exercise control support staff. They monitor, record, and update key stakeholders on the current operational picture during exercises, and either assist or create the After-Action Review (AAR) product. They collate, analyse, and prepare AAR products and deliver exported data sets for platoon to battalion-sized operations. The System Analyst also advises training units on the capabilities of the equipment and coordinates with them before, during, and after the exercise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the contract Site Lead on all matters concerning operational support to MCTIS at the fielded location and assigned Satellite Incidental Training Site activities.
- Assist the exercise leadership in preparation of the training roster / Order of Battle.
- Operate the full desktop exercise control system from a fixed or mobile location.
- Monitors and provide analysis of live field video and tactical communications for inclusion in the AAR and prepare and deliver to training units as requested.
- Incorporate tactical control measures and other requirements of the training unit.
- Monitors progress on the battlefield and updates training unit accordingly.
- Conduct data analysis and evaluate results based on training unit requirements.
- Generate reports and statistics with information processed from real-time and stored data.
- Identify and analyze trends in training unit performance in support of USMC training program objectives.
- Attend all planning and coordination meetings as required.
- Administers Performance Evaluation Checklist (PECL) for team members as required.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
- Assists with the erection and maintenance of the base station communication system if required.
- Assists with logistical resupply if required.
- Assists with both the issue and receipt phases of specified equipment.
- Assists with any continuation / cross training as required.
- Provides training unit with exercise control equipment operation instructions as required.
- Provides input for performance assessment of team members as required.
- Operates the mobile exercise control system to provide AAR support.
- Delivers a capability brief for the Marines prior to the exercise as required.
- Attend training in the US or overseas as required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Attended Professional Military Education appropriate to rank at time of separation or retirement from the uniformed service.
- Ideal candidate is a former USMC Officer or Senior SNCO with operations experience.
- 10+ years of Fleet Marine Force operational experience preferred.
- Experience with exercise control and battalion-level (or above) combat operations center processes and procedures.
- Operate application-based proprietary software programs.
- Strong foundation in professional communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In depth understanding of USMC Combined Arms Doctrine; Tactics, Techniques & Procedures (TTP).
- Familiarity with USMC Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE).
- Some office work in a climate-controlled facility.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some holidays and weekends.
- Prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements. Work in inclement temperatures from 100+ degrees in a low elevation desert climate to negative 25 degrees in a high elevation (6,500 10,000 feet) mountainous environment.
- Routine heavy lifting (50 lbs. maximum).
- Daily driving in the training areas with poor driving conditions due to rugged terrain, weather, and debris.
- May require 15% - 20% travel. Some training overseas may occur which requires a valid U.S. Passport.
- Daily travel at home site location and occasionally travel off-site in accordance with contract requirements.
- Company credit card use and compliance with Company policy are mandatory.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
