Essential Job Functions
- Learn and interpret technical requirements from Naval customers and assist in implementing engineering solutions
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications
- Collaborate closely with in-house manufacturing teams and external vendors to support production schedules and resolve design or test issues
- Assist with qualifying new vendors and developing strong working relationships
- Support evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Develop a working knowledge of Hunt Valve products, processes, and industry requirements
- Create 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, with a strong emphasis on translating models into accurate, production-ready drawings
- Gain hands-on experience through time spent in the manufacturing shop environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with teammates, leadership, customers, and vendors
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Familiarity with ANSI drawing standards and GD&T (training and mentorship provided)
- High attention to detail when reviewing drawings, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and preparing technical documentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and seek guidance when needed
- Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT), machining, manufacturing, or inspection processes is a plus
Essential Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Recent graduates with relevant internships, co-ops, or hands-on project experience are encouraged to apply
