Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Medical Education Assistant Temp to join our Medical Education department. This part-time position (20 hours per week) is based at our Washington, D.C. regional office and offers a hybrid work model, requiring at least one day per week on-site. This is a temporary position with an assignment duration of two months, with the possibility of extension. Reporting to a Director of Medical Education, the Medical Education Assistant Temp will provide administrative support for key functions of the Medical Education department including, providing day-to-day operations support for the medical student, resident, and fellow rotations, and assisting with accreditation for MAPMG's residency programs. You will schedule and facilitate program meetings, support Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) compliance processes, review and update onboarding materials and rotation schedules, and help draft key documents and resources.
You can expect to:
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Medical Education and the Medical Education Program Coordinator
- Coordinate medical student, resident, and fellow rotations, including onboarding, scheduling, and evaluating the learner experience
- Draft and update program materials such as preceptor guides, faculty resources, handbooks, orientation documents, and clinical education resources

- Assist in preparing ACGME required deliverables to maintain accreditation for the Internal Medicine Residency Program (IMRP) and secure accreditation for the Family Medicine Residency Program (FMRP) and ensure program materials comply with ACGME institutional, core, and program requirements
- Schedule and facilitate program meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders and record and maintain notes and meeting minutes for program activities and discussions
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports on supplemental resources as needed
What is required:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Business, Communication, Health Care, or other related field is required.
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of administrative support experience; Preferred experience in healthcare, education/training, credentialing, or compliance program management
- Relevant industry work experience in healthcare, training/education, credentialing, or compliance program management is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) and other web-based tools; ability to manage large datasets using pivot tables, macros, and formulas
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and time management skills; detail-oriented and dependable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel to Kaiser Permanente sites in the Mid-Atlantic region on an infrequent, on an as-needed basis.
- Must be able to commute to Washington D.C. office, a minimum of one day per week.
- Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area
- Must provide documentation of the Covid vaccine 2-dose series (or J&J 1-dose) prior to October 1, 2023, or documentation for 1-dose of the most current Covid vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as a condition of employment
- Must provide documentation for the influenza vaccine as a condition of employment
The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.00 to $30.00, which considers an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
