L.N. Curtis & SonsDescription:
This position works within the Merchandising Department. Primarily responsible for helping to maintain and update the ERP product database of 50,000+ products and maintaining vendor information. This role also oversees the creation and maintenance of products, product kits, and special product setups; resolves system and product issues as they arise. They actively support management and staff via problem solving, training and company support.
Duties and Responsibilities to include:
- Spearheads and manages special projects as assigned by the Department Manager.
- Participates in special projects as needed/assigned by company leadership
- Oversees item quantity adjustments: supports other staff in adjustment needs
- Assists in training other Merchandising Specialists in the below job duties.
- Maintains/updates product information: new product entry, pricing updates, part numbers, descriptions, settings, ordering controls, etc.
- Organizes, creates, establishes, and maintains: product, product kits, and special product setups.
- Problem solving: products, system issues, kits, etc.
- Assists in organizing department organizational files: product/vendor reports, procedures, matrixes, etc.
- Supports Department Manager in developing, set-up, and training for product processing through the system.
- Other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values and goals.

- Ability to perform detailed and complex data entry and Excel work.
- Strong aptitude for math and ability to apply mathematical concepts to pricing models, percentages, rounding, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day span and prepare action plan to achieve results.
- Ability to be a strong member in a team oriented work environment.
- Strong Work Ethic.
- Proven attention to detail.
- Self-starter with willingness to do whatever is necessary to support the team.

- A history of continuing professional and personal development.
Skills Required
- Microsoft Excel - advanced skills verified by exam.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook and Word.
- Excellent over the phone and by email customer service skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to put order into files, procedures, processes, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Required
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years' experience with complex data management processes involving Excel.
- 2+ years' experience in a customer service role.
Experience Preferred
- 2+ years' experience within a team responsible for maintaining a product database of 20,000+ products: pricing, new setup, vendor info, images, descriptions, etc.
- 2+ years' experience in a team providing great internal customer service over the phone and by email.
- 2+ years' experience in working with Excel to manage product information and upload key information into an ERP system.
- 2+ years' experience working in small teams for a mid-size company.
- Completed college level courses.
