Position Summary:

This experienced level position is assigned to the preparation plant operations and provides work directly to the safe operation of transportation equipment and maintenance of that equipment.  Position will require operation of mobile and heavy equipment.

• Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of coal/refuse resulting from coal processing.
• Must comply with company, plant and regulatory policies and approved procedures.
• Must ensure that body mechanics, equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner.
• Must safely, effectively, and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions at the plant facilities.
• Must be able to safely operate plant and refuse equipment.

 Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have mobile and/or heavy equipment operation experience.

Must be able to understand and grasp preparation plant concepts and safety strategies.

MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMODATION

Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires.

Must be able to work a shift rotation.

Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment.

Must possess effective critical thinking and comprehension skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory/Management skills and experience

Prior experience operating large rock trucks at a coal preparation facility.
