Job Summary
Consult with educators on the design, development, and delivery of moderately complex instructional materials and the integration of instructional technologies.
Essential Functions
SSW has launched a new online MSW program option. A full-time instructional designer is needed for ongoing course modifications and improvements. The designer will provide support to faculty, and in collaboration with CTL and Pitt Edge, to provide consultation on design, integration of instructional technologies, and incorporation of required pedagogical components in alignment with SSW accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with faculty to design, develop, and deliver instructional materials across online, on-campus, and hybrid courses.
• Integrate evidence-based instructional design practices and technologies to enhance learning and engagement for diverse student populations.
• Evaluate instructional needs, identify goals and objectives, and recommend curricular and technological solutions.
• Support faculty in developing accessible, inclusive, and interactive learning experiences that reflect social work's core values of equity and justice.
• Conduct training and professional development workshops for faculty on inclusive teaching and instructional technologies.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
