The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is accepting applications for an Athletic Training Program core faculty member for the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS) within the Morsani College of Medicine to begin Summer 2026.\n
This is a 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) on-site faculty position, available as either tenured or non-tenured, and will remain open until filled. This existing position reports to the Athletic Training Program Director, and will have responsibilities related to teaching, research, and service. The primary teaching role will be in our CAATE accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training program. Faculty rank and salary are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Morsani College of Medicine includes the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, Physician Assistant Program, and Medical Education and Graduate Education Programs. The school includes the Athletic Training Program, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. The DPT professional program enrolls approximately 50 students per class each year and is ranked in the top 35 programs per the US News and World Report. The USF Athletic Training Program was the first AT program to be housed in a College of Medicine and currently has one of the largest and most diverse student populations in the country. The school's research mission generates over $5M in funded extramural research.Minimum qualifications:

- Doctoral (i.e. PhD, EdD) degree from an accredited institution. \n
- Active BOC certification and current (or eligible for) Florida Athletic Training licensure . \n
- Desire to teach in area of expertise. \n
- Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. \n
Preferred qualifications:

- Experience with teaching in an accredited Athletic Training program, clinical experience as an Athletic Trainer, and service to the profession. \n
- Experience with technology supported educational methods (i.e. online or blended format), interprofessional education and creative teaching and assessment methods \n
- Successful applicants should demonstrate an ability to work effectively with community partners and provide evidence of independent and collaborative research, including facilitating and mentoring of student research projects. Evidence of scholarly activities and other creative works can include publications, presentations, and/or equivalent. \n
