Key Responsibilities

- Conduct field audits to evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, reliability, or cost savings
- Partner closely with operations teams to ensure consistent application of process standards and regulatory compliance
- Recommend and implement best practices, equipment upgrades, and process changes
- Support commissioning and startup of new or upgraded treatment sites
- Collect and analyze operational data (e.g., flow, temperature, pressure, separation efficiency)
- Ensure P&IDs and all process documentation are accurate and up to date across sites
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, and EH&S to support safe and stable operations
- Provide technical input on T&R capital projects and scope development
- Develop and present written reports summarizing findings, performance evaluations, and improvement recommendations
Preferred Experience & Technical Focus
While not all are required, the following are strongly preferred:
- Experience with liquid and fluid handling systems: piping, pumps, tanks, separators, mixers, flow control, etc.
- Comfort creating and/or interpreting P&IDs and process flow diagrams
- Familiarity with process audits, valve troubleshooting, and control narratives
- Strong understanding of industrial operations (chemical, petrochemical, refining, or industrial wastewater ideal)
- Previous involvement with commissioning, turnaround support, or startup activities
- Ability to work independently in the field and communicate technical issues clearly with both operators and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline required)
- 35+ years of industrial process engineering experience (not biotech/pharma)
- Engineering management experience a plus
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and drive results across departments
- Strong data analysis, documentation, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Aspen, DeltaV, or similar tools a plus
Working Conditions
- Office + field-based role, with up to 50% travel required to support treatment facilities
