Job Description Summary:Technical subject matter expert and technical project management of factory buildouts and optimization
Job Description:
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage multiple or large, complex projects
- Estimate and establish budgets and contract pricing for factory systems
- Negotiate cost-effective subcontracts and material purchases
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely information transfer, shop drawing approval, and equipment delivery
- Keep projects on schedule
- Develop and maintain strong relationship both internally and externally
- Work with Manufacturing Manager to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures, in coordination with Safety team
- Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management on budget, scope, and schedule
- Manage, train, and supervise new project team members according to Company policies
- Organize and facilitate regular meetings for management, vendors, and subcontractors
- Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with all contract terms
- Oversee documentation of all significant project events (such as accidents, delays, Change Orders, etc.)
- Assist in developing factory team members for continued career growth
- Participate in factory related candidate interviews
- Maintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project)
- As technical subject matter expert, work closely with vendors and Company team members, in the coordination of creating control systems and executing equipment integration
- Create, review, or execute equipment technical documentation and performance acceptance testing/criteria
- Complete all project close-out procedures
- Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontract bid packages, as required
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
- Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years field construction management and installation experience (including supervisory experience)
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
- Organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- Full knowledge and experience
- Solid project planning, scheduling, and execution skills
- Fundamental knowledge of contracts and project accounting
- Thorough understanding of all project management controls (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)
Work Environment and Physical Demands :
- Occasional exposure to weather, vibration, dust, loud noises, and fumes
- Requires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs
- Constant ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, and talk, and possess depth perception
- Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places
- Occasional travel up to 25% to factory sites, vendor facilities, company meetings will be required, or as to meet project demands
