Description
SUMMARY: Conduct documentation reviews for all direct and indirect loan types for compliance with state and federal regulations as well as bank lending policy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review documentation for compliance with regulations, federal and state laws, lending policies.
- Review commercial loan documentation for compliance with the Bank's lending policy, practices, and regulations.
- Review and approve commercial advances for loans $500,000.00 and greater.
- Review and monitor borrowing bases for complex commercial credits.
- Review, approve, and monitor residential mortgage construction advances and inspections.
- Review consumer (direct and indirect), and mortgage portfolio for documentation compliance.
- Review incoming information to clear exceptions.
- Work with loan officers to ensure compliance with policy and regulations.
- Generate reports to loan officers concerning exceptions found in loans originated by them.
- Research processing errors found during review and forward to appropriate personnel for correction.
- Provide support to other personnel concerning underwriting and compliance issues.
- Complete software updates with tracking items.
- Complete commercial loan confirmation requests.
- Ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE
- Position normally requires an Associate's Degree or two years of college or equivalent in advanced education to provide a working knowledge within a field or several fields for information purposes.
- Background courses in business or related fields.
- Ability to use PC software in a network environment.
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of the Bank's policies, procedures, and practices.
- Knowledge of lending policy.
- Valid Driver's License.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal office conditions.
- Requires alertness, thoroughness, efficiency and regular use of telephone to communicate with co-workers.
- Some overtime may be required.
