A Brief Overview
This internship will focus on the information technology aspects of supporting a research and development environment. This includes potential careers in: Front end application support Computer System Validation and Computer Software Assurance Business Analysis Project Management AI Initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn the basic functions of the different R&D departments including: Clinical Non-Clinical (Laboratory) Biometrics and Data Management Medical Device Development Program Management Quality Regulatory Safety
- Learn the basics of helpdesk support for a variety of R&D focused computer systems
- Learn how to support computer applications in a federally regulated environment
- Learn how to investigate, test, and deploy solutions to a variety of business related challenges
- Learn how to structure and execute an IT project
- Learn how to build, deploy, and maintain AI agents that support R&D processes
Minimum Requirements
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Education
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science major or equivalent (Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) or a closely related field.
Preferred Requirements:
- Pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science major or equivalent (Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) or a closely related field.

Program Length:
- 11-week program (Projected Dates: June 1, 2026 August 13, 2026)
Location:
- Raleigh, NC
- Weekly Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
