Position Summary:
The pallet yard worker is responsible to unload trailers when they return from our retail stores. Sorting, stacking or dumping returned items such as pallets, meat baskets, milk baskets, cardboard, compost.

Desired Previous Job Experience
• High school education or general education degree (GED) plus one year experience in work or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Position Qualifications:
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to work in outdoor work environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with company members
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions
• Willing to work any days and hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• May be required to complete skills and ability testing.
• Ability to work safely in a fast paced warehouse environment

Essential Job Functions:
• Unload and clean trailers
• Sorting, stacking material returned from stores
• Loading sorted pallets and recyclables on to vendor trailers
• Performing all duties in a safe manner
• Safely operate baler machine
• Feed compost into energy system
• Feed returned milk cases onto sanitation line
• Responsible for sanitation of work area including dock and door pits
• Keep work area clean
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
