Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood service providers, dedicated to saving lives through blood collection, transfusion medicine, and clinical support services such as our Hemophilia Center of Western PA. The Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Clinical Supervisor to help run our multi-disciplinary clinic. At HCWP, we are a specialized treatment center providing comprehensive care for individuals living with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other rare bleeding disorders. Our multidisciplinary team-including physicians, nurses, social workers, and support staff-focuses on the long-term health and quality of life of our patients and their families.
About the Role
The RN Clinical Services Supervisor oversees the delivery of patient-centered clinical services by supporting staff, managing resources, maintaining compliance, and integrating guidance from the Medical Director into clinical practice. This role plays a key part in coordinating daily operations, ensuring adherence to protocols, supporting high-quality care, and fostering collaboration across departments.
Schedule: M - F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
In-person at our Hemophilia Center of Western PA. Located in Oakland area in downtown Pgh. FREE PARKING ON SITE
What You'll Do
• Coordinate and evaluate the delivery of patient care services according to policies and regulatory standards
• Supervise and support clinical staff, including scheduling, training, performance reviews, and timecard approvals
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the team & fill in as patient-facing RN when needed
• Ensure appropriate onboarding, training, and professional development of staff
• Promote a positive work environment aligned with Vitalant's RITE values
• Collaborate with other departments to support coordinated and effective patient care
• Participate in budget planning and monitor clinical services expenditures
• Maintain compliance with all SOPs, regulations, licensure, and certifications
• Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities for efficiency and service enhancement
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements
Education
• Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing or Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Completion of required supervisory and staff qualification training
Licenses & Certifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in PA required
• CPR certification required
Experience
• At least O ne year of previous experience as a supervisor, lead, or preceptor required
• Experience in pediatrics and/or other direct patient care environments preferred
Skills & Abilities
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a variable workload environment
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic documentation
• Ability to follow precise written and verbal instruction
